An opposition NRP-UP Parliamentary candidate, Jean Chisenga, has raised an alarm over what she alleges is the tampering of ballot papers ahead of tomorrow’s General Election.
Chisenga’s supporters have alerted the Zambian Eye, claiming that ballot papers intended for use in tomorrow’s election may have been interfered with.
A video showing the alleged incident has been shared with the Zambian Eye and is currently being reviewed.
The allegations have not yet been independently verified, and it remains unclear where the incident occurred, how the ballot papers may have been tampered with, or who may have been responsible.
The development comes just hours before voters across Zambia are expected to begin casting their ballots.
The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has not yet publicly commented on the allegations.
Zambian Eye is seeking an official response from the ECZ and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
