Atlas Workforce is hiring a Mining Manager for Lusaka / Mine Operations. Position: Mining Manager Experience: 5+ years Location: Lusaka / Mine Operations We are looking for a highly skilled, dynamic, and safety-focused Mine Manager to lead operations. The Role The overall purpose of the role is to plan, organize, and supervise all daily mining activities while meeting production targets and ensuring strict adherence to environmental regulations and the Zambian Mines and Minerals Development Act. Responsibilities – Operational Management: Oversee daily mining activities, including extraction, production scheduling, and drill and blast designs to optimize mineral resources. – Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with relevant Zambian legislative and regulatory requirements. Maintain a zero-harm culture and conduct routine safety inspections. – Budgeting & Planning: Coordinate data for operating and capital budgets, and assist with Life of Mine Plans. – Team Leadership: Lead, train, and develop the engineering, geology, and site operations teams to maximize workforce efficiency. Requirements – Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mining Engineering or related discipline. – Valid Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency or relevant local blasting/competency license.
