The successful candidate will report directly to the Senior Engineer – Solar Operations, playing a vital role in supporting Zambia’s growing renewable energy sector. About the Maintenance Engineer Position As a Maintenance Engineer at CEC Renewables, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical installations and associated equipment. Your expertise will support ongoing maintenance programs, equipment upgrades, and condition-based maintenance initiatives aimed at optimizing operational performance. Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Engineer Jobs in Kitwe Develop and implement maintenance programs and procedures for electrical installations and equipment. Provide engineering input for equipment modifications and redesigns to meet evolving operational requirements. Monitor the health status of power networks and auxiliary equipment to initiate timely condition-based maintenance. Lead the installation and commissioning of new electrical equipment as needed. Review and improve maintenance work procedures, tools, and inventory management to enhance team efficiency. Prepare detailed technical reports within agreed timeframes on engineering activities. Offer technical support for special projects and ad hoc engineering assignments. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. Membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) is mandatory. Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in the power utility or mining industry. Specialized training in Maintenance engineering practices. Strong presentation skills with the ability to communicate technical information logically and constructively.
