LUSAKA INTEGRATED SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPANY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES THE ORGANIZATION The Lusaka Integrated Solid Waste Management Company (LISWMC) was established following the enactment of the Solid Waste Regulation and Management Act No. 20 of 2018 as an autonomous Solid Waste Management Utility in order to provide effective solid waste management services in the City of Lusaka. In its quest to provide solid waste management services, LISWMC is looking for suitably qualified, creative and self-driven individuals for the following positions to join the Company, to be based in Lusaka. JOB TITLE: Legal Officer – Prosecution (01 Position) JOB PURPOSE: To provide legal support to the Office of Legal Counsel, manage dockets, court attendance, and case records for enforcement matters, under the supervision of the Legal Counsel. Reports to: Legal Counsel REQUIREMENTS Full Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent. Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree. Advocate of the High Court of Zambia. Member of the Law Association of Zambia (with a current practicing certificate). At least four (4) years’ post-qualification experience in a legal, compliance, or enforcement/prosecution environment. Appointment or eligibility for appointment as a Public Prosecutor, and prior experience in local authority, environmental, or public-sector legal practice, will be an added advantage.
