Job Title: Human Resources Specialist Performance Talent Management & Employee Wellness Mission To drive a high-performance culture through the effective management of Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Experience, Recognition, and Wellness programmes. The role is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end employee performance cycle, talent review and succession processes, employee engagement initiatives, rewards and recognition programmes, and wellness interventions that support MTN Zambia’s business strategy, people agenda, and employee value proposition. Under the supervision of the Senior Manager Learning and Organisation Development, below are the Key Job Responsibilities: Performance Management Coordinates and administers the end-to-end performance management process, ensuring alignment with MTN Group standards, governance requirements, and timelines; Facilitates goal setting, KPI alignment, performance reviews, and calibration activities to support a high-performance culture; Provides guidance and support to managers and employees on performance management practices, processes, and compliance requirements; Monitors performance trends, analyse performance data, and generate reports and insights to support business decision-making and continuous performance improvement; Talent Management & Succession Planning Coordinates talent review processes and support the identification, assessment, and development of high-potential employees across the organization; Maintains talent inventories, succession plans, and leadership pipelines for critical and business-critical roles; Monitors talent development initiatives, individual development plans (IDPs), talent mobility, and succession readiness; Prepares talent management and succession reports, dashboards, and insights to support workforce planning and organizational capability building; Employee Recognition Coordinates the implementation of employee recognition programmes that reinforce MTN values and strategic business objectives; Manages recognition campaigns, nomination processes, awards programmes, and employee appreciation initiatives; Monitors programme participation and effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve employee engagement and recognition outcomes; Promotes a culture of appreciation and continuous recognition across the organization. Employee Engagement & Surveys Coordinates employee engagement surveys and other organizational feedback mechanisms, including communication, participation monitoring, and reporting; Analyses survey feedback and provide insights to support employee experience and engagement interventions; Supports the development and implementation of action plans arising from survey results and employee feedback; Prepares engagement reports and presentations for management and leadership teams. Employee Wellness Coordinates the implementation of employee wellness and wellbeing programmes covering physical, mental, emotional, social, and financial wellbeing; Manages wellness initiatives, awareness campaigns, health screening activities, and employee assistance programmes; Monitors wellness programme participation, organisational wellbeing indicators, and programme effectiveness; Builds and maintains effective relationships with wellness service providers and internal stakeholders to enhance employee wellbeing outcomes. HR Analytics & Reporting Develop, maintain, and analyse HR dashboards, scorecards, and workforce metrics across performance, talent, engagement, recognition, and wellness portfolios; Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to support leadership decision-making and Group reporting requirements; Generates people insights and recommendations to support strategic workforce and business objectives; Ensures the integrity, confidentiality, and effective management of HR data and reporting processes. Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement Ensures compliance with MTN policies, procedures, governance requirements, and Group People calendars; Maintains accurate records, documentation, and reporting standards across assigned people management processes; Identifies opportunities to improve, automate, and digitize HR processes and employee experience initiatives; Keeps abreast of emerging trends and best practices in performance management, talent management, employee engagement, recognition, and wellbeing. Candidate Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Psychology, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Public Administration, or related field; Professional HR qualifications such as ZIHRM, CIPD, SHRM, HRCI, or equivalent is an added advantage; Grade twelve (12) Certificate with 5 credits or better including English and Mathematics; Minimum 3–5 years HR experience in a reputable organization; At least 2 years’ experience in Performance Management, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Organizational Development, or Employee Wellness; Experience facilitating Talent Reviews and succession planning processes; Experience working with HR analytics and reporting; Experience in telecommunications or a fast-paced corporate environment is desirable.
