LC&Y CHIBULUMA MINE PLC JOB OPPORTUNITIES – COPPERBELT, ZAMBIA LC&Y Chibuluma Mine Plc invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated Zambian professionals to fill the following positions: 1. GEOLOGICAL ENGINEER – UNDERGROUND MINING Key Responsibilities · Conduct underground geological mapping, investigations and interpretation. · Provide geological information to support mine planning and production. · Conduct geological sampling, logging and grade-control activities. · Prepare geological plans, sections, models and technical reports. · Monitor geological conditions and identify potential mining hazards. · Support orebody definition, resource evaluation and grade control. · Work closely with Mining, Engineering, Geotechnical and Technical Services teams. · Ensure compliance with Company HSE standards and applicable mining requirements. Qualifications & Experience · Bachelor’s Degree in Geological, Mining Engineering or a related field. · Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in underground mining. · Proven experience in underground geological mapping, sampling and grade control. · Experience in geological modelling and relevant geological/mining software. · Strong analytical, reporting and communication skills. · Membership/registration with the relevant professional body will be an advantage. 2. HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER Key Responsibilities · Support recruitment, selection, onboarding and employee administration. · Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation. · Handle employee relations, grievances and disciplinary processes. · Support payroll, attendance and timesheet administration. · Provide HR advisory services to employees and line management. · Implement HR policies, procedures and Company initiatives. · Support performance management, training and employee development. · Ensure compliance with applicable Zambian labour legislation and statutory requirements. · Maintain HR databases. Qualifications & Experience · Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, Business Administration or a related field. · Minimum 4 years’ relevant HR experience, preferably within a mining, construction or industrial environment. · Practical experience in employee relations, disciplinary procedures and grievance handling. · Good knowledge of Zambian labour laws and employment practices. · Knowledge of NAPSA, NHIMA, PAYE and other statutory requirements will be an advantage. · Experience working in a unionised/industrial environment will be an advantage. · ZIHRM membership is a Must. · Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS – BOTH POSITIONS Successful candidates must: · Be physically and medically fit to work in a mining environment. · Provide a valid Medical Fitness Certificate as required by the Company. · Provide a valid Police Clearance Certificate. · Be willing to work underground, on-site and in operational areas, where applicable. · Demonstrate a strong commitment to Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards. · Comply with all Company safety rules, procedures, PPE requirements and site regulations. · Demonstrate good discipline, teamwork, communication, integrity and work ethics. · Be able to work effectively in a multicultural and fast-paced mining environment. · Possess a valid National Registration Card (NRC) and provide certified copies of relevant qualifications. · Be willing to undergo reference checks and other pre-employment screening. · Have previous experience in a mining, construction, engineering or industrial environment where applicable. · Demonstrate commitment to environmental protection and responsible mining practices.
