Human Resource Officer

Role Description: The Human Resource Officer will manage day-to-day HR operations to support employees and leadership in meeting organizational goals. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Copperbelt Province, Chambishi. Key responsibilities include implementing HR policies and procedures, maintaining employee records, and supporting recruitment, onboarding, and job description development. The role will handle employee relations matters, including addressing inquiries, supporting conflict resolution, and promoting a positive, compliant workplace culture. The Human Resource Officer will also assist with performance management processes, leave and attendance tracking, HR reporting, and coordination of staff training and development initiatives. Qualifications Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management, with experience supporting day-to-day HR operations. Ability to develop, implement, and maintain HR Policies aligned with labor laws and organizational standards. Experience handling Employee Relations, including supporting fair treatment, conflict resolution, and employee engagement. Competence in Job Description Development, role profiling, and supporting recruitment and onboarding processes. Grade 12 Certificate with 5 O’level credits or better Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). At least 2 years work experience in a similar role Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices, preferably within the construction or related industries. Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality. Proficient in MS Office and basic HR information systems; comfortable working with HR data and reports. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff at all levels.
