Job Requirements – Head of Legal & Company Secretary Job Requirements – Head of Legal & Company Secretary Required Skills Extensive corporate governance and Company Secretarial experience in a regulated environment. Strong expertise in banking regulation, legal risk management, and regulatory compliance. At least 5 years of work experience in a regulated environment preferably financial institution. University Degree in Law & Admitted to the Zambian Bar. Tasks & Responsibilities •Serve as principal governance adviser to the Board on corporate governance, directors’ duties, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and governance best practices. •Custodian of the Bank’s corporate governance framework ensuring high standards of governance, ethical conduct and integrity in Board decision making. •Develop, maintain, and oversee Board governance documents, including the Board and Committee Charters, governance policies and any related governance document ensuring they remain current and aligned with legal, regulatory, and best practice. •Provide sound legal judgment, anticipate risks, and align legal Strategies with business objectives.
