CHOPPIES SOLWEZI REGION JOB VACANCIES Job Role: Fruit and Veg Assistant Responsibilities: To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. Set up attractive displays to encourage customer purchases. Ensure all produce is correctly priced and labeled. Conduct daily counts of stock and report shortages. Dispose of spoiled produce responsibly and record wastage. Assist in receiving deliveries and verifying quality against supplier invoices. Help prepare special displays for seasonal fruits and vegetables. Provide information on storage, preparation, and nutritional value of produce. Follow workplace safety rules when handling crates, knives, or cleaning equipment. Maintain logs of stock rotation, cleaning schedules, and quality checks. Support colleagues in other departments when needed. Education/Experience: High school diploma or equivalent Food handlers’ certification & food production certification 1–2 yrs of experience in fruit and veg production Basic knowledge in food preparation Good communication and problem solving skills Physical fitness and ability to work at heights Candidate should be medically fit Skills, abilities, knowledge, licenses, certifications: Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment Must be able to stay calm and focused. Interpersonal Skills Supervisory skills – ability to train Employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.
