This role is pivotal in shaping the company’s financial strategy, overseeing internal controls, managing audits, taxation, and receivables. The successful candidate will lead operational financial accounting functions, including management and statutory reporting in accordance with company policies and IFRS standards. Key Responsibilities for Finance Manager Jobs in Lusaka Financial Management: Develop and implement robust financial policies, procedures, and systems tailored specifically to the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. Ensure full compliance with applicable accounting standards and FMCG-specific regulations. Accounts Receivable & Debt Recovery: Manage accounts receivable processes to optimize cash flow and reduce overdue balances. Oversee debt recovery efforts to secure timely collection of outstanding payments. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Internal Controls & Auditing: Establish and maintain effective internal control systems. Conduct regular audits to ensure financial accuracy and integrity, driving the audit process to maintain compliance and resolve discrepancies. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the management team to align financial strategies with the company’s overall FMCG objectives. Provide guidance and support to finance and accounting staff. Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline. Professional qualification such as ACCA or ZICA is mandatory. At least 5 years of proven experience in a finance management role within the FMCG industry. Demonstrated ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations. Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. ZAQA certification is required.
