Role Purpose Talent Grid Africa, on behalf of a fast-growing solar energy company dedicated to powering underserved communities across Sub-Saharan Africa, is hiring Field Service Engineers to ensure reliability, performance and uptime of energy systems within assigned clusters. Key Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair defective battery packs and related equipment Monitor hub performance metrics including Swap Percentage and PV Percentage Escalate hubs exceeding operational thresholds or recurring technical issues Conduct field visits for inspections, maintenance, repairs and technical support Test new products, firmware and system upgrades as required Perform hub commissioning, testing, validation and sign-off before launch Provide daily technical updates and weekly hub health reports Develop weekly field service and maintenance schedules Maintain technical inventory records and track defective components Promote compliance with safety and operational standards Key Requirements Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Renewable Energy Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field 0-2 years experience troubleshooting, maintaining or repairing electronic, electrical, solar or energy systems Experience with field-based technical operations is an added advantage Exposure to renewable energy systems or off-grid energy solutions is highly desirable Knowledge of electrical and electronic systems and diagnostic tools Ability to work independently in remote locations Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies How to Apply Interested candidates who meet the criteria should submit their CVs to jobs@talentgridafrica.com Note: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Requirements
