Key Responsibilities for Commercial Manager Jobs in Lusaka As Commercial Manager, you will collaborate closely with the in-country sales team to jointly own revenue and unit sales targets. Your role is pivotal in establishing the conditions that enable the sales team’s success by ensuring the availability of appropriate products, competitive pricing, effective channel coverage, and impactful marketing resources. Your core duties include: Monitoring country-level revenue performance, diagnosing deviations, resolving local issues, and escalating complex challenges to the Business Head as necessary. Maintaining strong, ongoing relationships with local distributors and OEM partners to ensure product availability, partner compliance, and consistent sell-through performance. Identifying and developing strategic partnerships with mobile network operators (MNOs), structuring commercial agreements that unlock new business opportunities. Collaborating with the regional supply chain team to provide accurate demand forecasts, flagging stock risks early, and supporting product launches and phase-outs within the country. Driving localized marketing initiatives in partnership with the marketing team to convert awareness into sales through promotional campaigns, digital advertising, and in-store merchandising. Advocating for an excellent after-sales customer experience by liaising with the after-sales team to monitor service quality and inform continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications and Experience Ideal candidates for commercial manager jobs in Lusaka will have: 5 to 7 years of experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles within consumer electronics, mobile devices, telecoms, or similarly fast-moving consumer industries. A proven track record of meeting revenue and unit sales targets in channel-led, distributor-focused sales environments. Hands-on experience managing distributor relationships and evaluating in-market partner performance. Strong understanding of the local smartphone market, including trade dynamics, key players, consumer behavior, and market landscape.
