Career Opportunity: Coal Sampling Technician Jobs in Sinazongwe African Power Coal Limited, a leading mining and energy company based in Sinazongwe, Southern Province, Zambia, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Coal Sampling Technician. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals experienced in coal sampling and laboratory analysis to contribute to quality control at the Mulungwa Mine Site. About the Coal Sampling Technician Position The primary purpose of this role is to perform routine laboratory tests and analyses on coal samples to ensure consistent quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting coal samples from various locations within the mining operation and preparing them according to strict laboratory protocols. Key Responsibilities for Coal Sampling Technician Jobs in Sinazongwe Collect coal samples from underground faces, conveyor belts, and train or truck transport systems using approved sampling techniques and tools. Prepare and conduct precise coal sampling in line with established laboratory procedures. Maintain, clean, and calibrate sampling equipment including crushers, dividers, and other laboratory instruments to ensure accurate results. Qualifications and Experience Required Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (5) O’ Level credits, including Mathematics, English, and Science subjects. Diploma in Applied Chemistry, Laboratory Sciences, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working in mining, industrial, or analytical laboratory environments. Ability to work shifts and adapt to a remote site environment.
