We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chinese head Chef to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in authentic Chinese cuisine, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and oversee the production of authentic Chinese dishes while maintaining consistency and quality. Develop and update menus, including seasonal and specialty offerings. Supervise, train, and motivate the kitchen team to ensure efficient operations. Maintain high standards of food presentation, taste, and portion control. Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Manage food inventory, ordering, stock control, and cost management. Minimize food waste and maximize kitchen efficiency. Collaborate with management to enhance the overall dining experience. Requirements: Proven experience as a Chinese Head Chef in a restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment. Extensive knowledge of authentic Chinese cuisine, including regional cooking techniques and ingredients. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene standards. Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are an added advantage. Qualifications Diploma or Certificate in Culinary Arts, Professional Cookery, or a related field. A recognized culinary qualification is an added advantage. Minimum of 4 years’ proven experience preparing authentic Chinese cuisine in a reputable restaurant, hotel, or similar establishment. Previous experience in a supervisory role, with the ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate kitchen staff. Strong knowledge of authentic Chinese cooking techniques, ingredients, and menu planning. Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Experience in stock management, food costing, and minimizing kitchen waste. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
