Right to Care Zambia (RTCZ) has provided public health service delivery and technical assistance in partnership with the Ministry of Health since 2016. Its work includes HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, epidemic response, malaria and TB, public health research, social behaviour change, laboratory services, pharmaceutical supply chains and non-communicable diseases. Business Analyst — 1 vacancy Contract type: Fixed Term. Contract duration: TBA. Location: TBA, as listed in the advert. Reporting to: Senior Software Developer. Date advertised: 10 September 2026. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or a related field. • Skills in requirements analysis, data analysis and business process modelling. • Three years’ experience in business analysis or a related role, including requirements elicitation and documentation, business process analysis and stakeholder engagement. • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools; familiarity with the software development lifecycle and agile methodologies. • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software tools. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE • Postgraduate qualification in a related field. • Professional certifications such as CBAP/CCBA, Agile/Scrum, ITIL or data analytics certification. • Five years’ business analysis experience, including health information or supply chain systems such as eLMIS and SmartCare Pro. • Reports/dashboard preparation and SQL or business intelligence tools experience. USG-funded project experience preferred. TECHNICAL AND BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES Analytical and critical thinking; requirements elicitation and stakeholder engagement; planning and execution; attention to detail and quality; communication and documentation. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Requirements elicitation and analysis • Work with MoH, ZAMMSA, Smart Zambia and end users to collect and analyse business and business intelligence requirements. • Assess technical and business feasibility with the development team. • Translate user requirements into functional/technical specifications and user stories. • Document, prioritise and manage requirements throughout development. Business process analysis and solution design • Analyse eLMIS, WarehouseXpert and SmartCare workflows and identify improvements. • Support solutions aligned with user needs and RTCZ/MoH supply chain objectives. • Prepare process maps, use cases and specifications. Data analysis, quality and reporting • Identify data discrepancies and quality issues with MoH, ZAMMSA, Smart Zambia and partners; support consistency and integrity. • Support design, development and publication of standard/ad hoc reports and dashboards from different data sources. • Analyse supply chain data to inform medical-commodity decisions. Stakeholder engagement and coordination • Liaise between end users, MoH, ZAMMSA, other stakeholders and developers. • Coordinate requirements workshops and feedback sessions. • Prepare and present requirements/change requests for the MoH-led Change Control Board. Testing, validation and implementation support • Develop test cases and support user acceptance testing. • Validate delivered functionality against agreed specifications and log defects. • Support deployment, training and post-implementation review. Documentation and continuous improvement • Maintain business analysis documentation, user manuals and training materials. • Participate in research and continuous improvement of systems/processes. • Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.
