Southern Province Principal Public Relations Officer, Wisdom Himanteka says the Provincial Administration is deeply saddened with the death of Provincial Permanent Secretary Namani Monze, who died yesterday, July 28, 2026, after an illness.

Speaking in an interview with ZANIS, Mr Himanteka described Dr Monze as a dedicated and gallant leader who served the province with commitment, integrity and distinction.

“His passion for public service and unwavering commitment to duty inspired many people who worked with him, and his death is a great loss to the Provincial Administration and the nation,” he said.

Mr Himanteka said late Dr Monze will be remembered for his visionary leadership and dedication to improving the lives of the people of Southern Province.

Meanwhile, Family representative, Pastor Kenfred Moonga, said late Dr Monze will be put to rest at his farm in Kozo area in Choma on a date to be communicated later.
