National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile has pledged to return power to ordinary citizens if elected in the August 13 general election.

Addressing supporters at Twapia Park in Ndola, Mr. Mundubile said his administration would honour its campaign promises and ensure that all Zambians are treated fairly, without favouritism or discrimination.

He assured supporters that his government would remain accountable to the people, encouraging voters to remind him of the commitments made during the campaign should his administration fail to deliver.

Mr. Mundubile also promised an open style of leadership, saying his government would listen to citizens and engage them on national issues rather than silence them.

Meanwhile, the campaign rally was marked by a heavy police presence. Officers monitored the event and at one point briefly took control of the stage, citing concerns over the scheduled campaign programme. Police also conducted screening of journalists seeking to cover the rally as part of measures to maintain law and order.
