Dr Katotobwe told the media in an interview today that the President’s declaration that lowering the cost of living is a priority, demonstrates that the government is responsive to the concerns of citizens.
She has called on Zambians to put aside political differences and work collectively towards achieving national development goals.
Dr Katotobwe emphasised that development cannot be achieved when citizens are pulling in different directions, adding that national unity and peace will be essential to delivering tangible benefits at grassroots level.
She has expressed confidence that the second term will focus on implementing programmes whose groundwork was laid during the first five years.
She has also welcomed President Hichilema’s emphasis on unity, peace and inclusivity, saying these are critical foundations for national development.
Dr Katotobwe has since urged Zambians to embrace the President’s call for unity and work towards building a Zambia that benefits both the current and future generations.
