Opposition NRP-UP presidential candidate Brian Mundubile this evening visited Senior Chief Mununga, who offered him a traditional blessing and publicly presented him during the visit.

The event adds to a series of engagements between Mundubile and traditional leaders as he continues his nationwide campaign ahead of Zambia’s August 2026 general elections.

According to the NRP-UP campaign, Senior Chief Mununga joins a number of traditional leaders in Eastern, Muchinga, Northern and Luapula provinces who have openly expressed support for Mundubile and his running mate, Makebi Zulu.

The visit comes as political parties intensify campaigns across the country, with candidates seeking support from communities and engaging various stakeholders ahead of polling day.
