🇿🇲 BRIEFING | Mundubile Describes Campaigns as Peaceful After Touring Seven Provinces

Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance presidential candidate Brian Mundubile says his campaign has so far progressed peacefully, describing the atmosphere in the seven provinces covered by the alliance as conducive for engaging voters ahead of the 13 August General Election.

Speaking in an interview with ZNBC, Mundubile said the alliance has been able to interact freely with communities without major incidents and will now shift its campaign to other parts of the country as it seeks to broaden its electoral reach.

“We have continued to engage voters without major incidents,” Mundubile said, while appealing to supporters to maintain peaceful campaigns and respect the electoral process.

Unlike some of his recent campaign appearances, the interview was largely reflective and did not feature any new wild announcements or campaign promises. Instead, Mundubile focused on the conduct of the campaign, urging political players to preserve the peaceful environment witnessed so far.

The opposition leader has spent recent weeks traversing several provinces as he continues selling the Tonse Alliance’s manifesto in his bid to unseat President Hakainde Hichilema.
