PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has thanked thousands of residents of Mpika District in Muchinga Province for attending his meeting today.

The President said government will prioritize urban, peri-urban and rural roads in Mpika, and assured that programmes such as free education, Social Cash Transfer, Cash for Work, and improved agriculture will continue.

“Free education will continue because it is now Law. Social Cash transfer, cash for work, improved Agriculture and many more good things will continue pouring into Mpika,” President Hichilema stated.

He also pledged an end to political violence and harassment in markets.

“No more violence. No more cadres harassing women in markets. Together we shall continue making Mpika even better,” he said.

The President urged residents to vote for UPND in the August elections.

“Ba Mpika twatotela. Go and vote for UPND in this election. May God Bless Mpika.”
