President Hakainde Hichilema says the Lobito Corridor project will create employment opportunities in North-Western Province once it is actualised.

President Hichilema has also assured the people of Mwinilunga district that the contracts for the construction of the Mutanda-Mwinilunga road will be signed soon.

President Hichilema was speaking today when he addressed scores of Mwinilunga residents who turned up in large numbers for a community engagement.

Meanwhile, President Hichilema said apart from employing workers in the health and education sectors, 1.6 million people have also been put on the Social Cash Transfer (SCT) as beneficiaries.

“I am calling on the people of Mwinilunga district not to vote for independent candidates because the opposition wants to use independent candidates to take away votes from the ruling party,” said President Hichilema.
