KAIZER ZULU COULD RETURN TO STATE HOUSE UNDER MUNDUBILE, SOURCES SAY.

Former Presidential Advisor Kaizer Peter Zulu could make a return to State House if National Reconstruction Party for Unity and Progress (NRPUP) presidential candidate Brian Mundubile wins the August 2026 General Elections, according to sources within the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance.

Sources familiar with internal discussions claim Mundubile is interested in appointing an experienced and outspoken political strategist, with Kaizer Zulu reportedly among the names being considered for the influential role of Political Advisor.

According to the sources, some alliance leaders view Kaizer Zulu as a seasoned political operator whose experience in government would be an asset to a future administration.

One source further claimed that cabinet positions would largely be shared between individuals recommended by Brian Mundubile and his running mate Makebi Zulu, saying such arrangements were discussed as part of their cooperation agreement.

Another source alleged that Mundubile believes Kaizer Zulu would help manage political affairs within government, including navigating relationships among senior alliance leaders.

Meanwhile, sources suggested that the long term future of the Toonse Pamodzi Alliance could depend on the outcome of the August elections.

They claimed that if the alliance fails to win power, differences over future presidential ambitions could test the partnership.

According to the sources, there is an understanding that Makebi Zulu would seek the alliance’s presidential nomination in 2031.

However, they also alleged that it is uncertain whether Brian Mundubile would be willing to serve as a running mate in that scenario.
