Israeli Far-Right Minister Calls for Nightly Operations in Gaza
An Israeli far-right minister has sparked renewed outrage after making inflammatory remarks calling for the killing of Palestinians in Gaza.
The minister reportedly said he believes Israel should carry out nightly operations in Gaza targeting 30 to 40 people, claiming that some Palestinians there “do not deserve to live.”
“I believe that every night there should be operations in Gaza to eliminate 30 to 40 people,” he said. “There are people there who do not deserve to live. They should not live. Even calling them people is, in my view, an act of generosity.”
The remarks have drawn condemnation over their dehumanizing language and apparent endorsement of targeted killings, as Gaza continues to face devastating military operations and widespread civilian suffering.
The comments also raise questions about whether Arab and Muslim-majority governments will issue a strong response, particularly as regional pressure mounts over Israel’s conduct of the war in Gaza.
The minister’s statements come amid continuing international scrutiny of Israeli military operations and growing concern over the protection of Palestinian civilians.
