IRAN REPORTEDLY DEVELOPING SUPERSONIC CRUISE MISSILE WITH RUSSIAN ASSISTANCE  FINANCIAL TIMES

Iran is reportedly developing a supersonic cruise missile in secret with Russian assistance, according to an investigation by the Financial Times.

The report says Tehran is believed to be receiving Russian technical support in areas including propulsion, guidance systems and engineering, as part of efforts to develop a weapon capable of flying at supersonic speeds and potentially challenging existing air-defence systems.

The alleged confidential programme comes amid deepening military and strategic cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, as relations between the two countries continue to expand across defence and security sectors.

🚨 The report emerges at a time of heightened tensions in the Middle East, following recent U.S. strikes and Iranian threats of further retaliation.

Neither Iran nor Russia had officially commented on the report at the time of publication.

If confirmed, the development of a Russian-assisted Iranian supersonic cruise missile could have major implications for the regional military balance and raise fresh concerns among Western and regional powers over the growing depth of Moscow–Tehran defence cooperation.
