IRAN JUST WARNED ITS NEIGHBOURS AND THE MESSAGE IS SIMPLE

Tehran has issued a direct warning to neighbouring countries against joining America’s economic war against Iran.

The message is not subtle. Stay out of Washington’s pressure campaign or face consequences.

This warning covers the Gulf states walking a careful line between American security relationships and Iranian proximity. Countries like Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and the UAE all have American military bases and economic ties with Washington while also sharing a neighbourhood with Iran that cannot be relocated.

Iran’s message is that neutrality has a price on both sides. America is offering security guarantees and economic partnerships. Iran is offering a different kind of guarantee. Stay out of the economic war against us or we will make sure you feel what that war looks like from our side.

The Gulf states have already seen what Iran’s displeasure looks like. Kuwait’s power plant and water desalination facility were struck. Bahrain’s base hosting the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet was hit. Jordan absorbed ballistic missiles in Aqaba. Iranian jets violated Qatar’s airspace.

All of that happened while these countries were supposed to be neutral or allied with Washington.

Now Iran is formally warning against joining the economic pressure campaign specifically.

The countries caught in the middle are calculating. American military protection is real. But Iranian missiles are also real. And those missiles do not care about alliance frameworks when Tehran decides the cost of patience has been crossed.

The Gulf states did not choose to be the battleground for this conflict. They are discovering that geography does not care about preference.

What do you think the Gulf states should do? Stay neutral or pick a side?
