The President said he received Mr. Pushpender Singla, Head of Strategy and Growth at Vedanta Resources, for discussions on further investment at KCM.
President Hichilema said the planned expansion will add considerably to Zambia’s 3 million metric tonne copper production target.
He said government has also encouraged Vedanta to expedite investment in power generation to support mining operations and contribute to the national 10 gigawatt target.
“These engagements are aimed at driving our Grow Zambia Agenda,” the President stated.
