BREAKING NEWS: CAS Yet to Rule on AFCON Title Dispute Between Senegal and Morocco

The Court of Arbitration for Sport, CAS, has not declared Senegal as winners of the AFCON title.

A document that made rounds on social media recently claimed that CAS had reversed CAF’s decision. However, checks confirmed that the document was fake.

Senegal had won the match on the pitch, but CAF later nullified the result and handed the trophy to Morocco over Senegal’s walk-off during a disputed penalty.

Unhappy with CAF’s ruling, Senegal took the matter to CAS in March. The court is still yet to give its final judgment on the case.
