LuSE Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Kabaso says liquidity was a major challenge during the period.
Kabaso attributes the subdued activity to factors including “the conflict in the Middle East and elections, which he said made international participants hesitant to invest in the market.”
Speaking during the Red Hot Breakfast Show, Kabaso said this “significantly affected market activity in the first half of the year.”
Despite the downturn, he noted that the market remains positioned for growth and is expected to attract more capital.
