ECZ TO ANNOUNCE MORE PRESIDENTIAL RESULTS TODAY

The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says the Commission will today release two further sets of presidential election results, as verification of constituency submissions continues.

Mr Kasaro said the first update will be made at 13:00 hours, with a second announcement scheduled for 20:00 hours. He explained that results received from constituencies are undergoing prescribed verification procedures before being declared.

Yesterday, following the resumption of counting and announcements, the Commission began releasing presidential results from Feira Constituency in Luangwa District, Lusaka Province; Chisamba Constituency in Central Province; Dongwe Constituency in Mfumbwe District, North‑Western Province; and Kundabwika Constituency in Kaputa District, Northern Province.

Mr Kasaro urged stakeholders and the public to remain patient and maintain peace as the results management process proceeds, adding that the Commission will continue issuing regular updates as verification and announcements progress.
