One of the original 12 dogs did not survive. LAWS said it is caring for three of the rescued dogs. Partner organizations are caring for the remaining eight. LAWS thanked the Zambia Police Service, Kabwe District Veterinary Office, Kabwe Animal Rescue, AARC, and Showgrounds Vet Clinic for their collaboration and response. The organization is appealing for donations to cover the costs of food, veterinary care, vaccinations, and rehabilitation for the dogs in its care.
