Higher Education Authority (HEA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians for the position of Standards and Research Officer. Number of positions: 1 Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment type: Full-time JOB PURPOSE Develop and implement standards to provide a regulatory framework for Higher Education Institutions. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Develop and implement policies and programmes to guide the operations of Higher Education Institutions. • Develop and implement standards in a timely manner to guide registration, institutional audits and accreditation. • Research emerging issues to inform regulatory decisions. • Monitor and evaluate standards. • Prepare reports, including the State of Higher Education Report. • Prepare the Unit budget. • Prepare work plans. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology or a Social Science discipline from a recognised Higher Education Institution. Experience Three years’ experience, preferably in an institution of learning.
