Plantlife Zambia – Job Advertisement Sales and Trials Intern Position: Sales and Trials Intern Location: Lusaka, Zambia Are you passionate about agriculture, research, and field-based learning? We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Sales and Trials Intern to join our team and gain practical experience in agronomy, product evaluation, agricultural research, and sales support. The successful candidate will assist with field trials, product demonstrations, customer engagement activities, and the collection and analysis of trial data while contributing to the company’s commercial and technical objectives. Key Responsibilities Field Trials and Demonstrations: Assist in the establishment, monitoring, and maintenance of field trials. Support the implementation of demo plots and product evaluations. Collect, record, and maintain accurate trial data, including germination rates, plant growth, pest and disease incidence, and yield performance. Ensure trial activities are conducted according to company protocols and agronomic best practices. Capture and organize trial data accurately and on time. Assist in analyzing trial results and preparing technical reports. Maintain proper records of trial activities and outcomes. Support sales activities and customer engagement. Assist in product launches and farmer training. Assist in identifying and engaging potential customers, including farmers, agro-dealers, distributors, and agribusinesses. Participate in field visits and customer meetings as required. Qualifications & Requirements A recent graduate with a Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science, Horticulture, or a related field. Excellent communication skills in English (both written and spoken). Basic understanding of agricultural products, farming practices, and agribusiness operations. Willingness to travel within and outside Lusaka. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Skills and Competencies Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Sales and negotiation skills. Customer service orientation. Good analytical and research skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. Willingness to travel and participate in field activities.
