The objective of this role is driving loan sales growth and expanding market reach within the Consumer Lending market through multiple distribution channels. The role bridges product development, sales execution, and distribution channel management to maximize consumer loan uptake while maintaining quality standards and risk controls. Reporting into the Head Consumer Lending, the job purpose includes building and managing an agent network to generate consumer loan applications, Training and supporting branch loan officers to effectively sell lending products, identifying strategic locations for establishing new service centres to improve customer access, achieving loan portfolio growth and acquisitioning of targets across all channels Key Responsibilities: Ensure Business Profitability through Gross Sales, Loan book Growth, Interest Income targets and Loan quality Manage the entire sales vertical to ensure optimum growth and profitability. Cost Control across the business unit on sales and acquisition Set overall sales acquisition strategy with Head Consumer Lending. Analyse data provided by analysts to take decisions to maximise long term profitability. Plan future growth of the business and explore opportunities for cross selling of the bank’s products. Provide feedback regarding the consumer lending market micro and macro developments. Build sales capacity across the Zambian market to provide services for all Bank Customers. Collaborate in setting sales targets that will contribute to achieving the country consumer lending targets and the bank’s performance targets. Coordinate with other company functions in achieving the Bank’s overall strategy Providing accurate and regular reports to Head of Consumer Lending and the Group Head of Consumer Lending regarding the sales and net growth performance of the civil service lending business Manage the process of recruiting and supervising DSA’s, Loan Officers and Team leaders at the country level, and strengthening the daily sales strategies for the sales team. Support collection strategies at the branch to minimize debts and maintain a healthy loan portfolio. Implement and reinforce the DSAs, Loan Officers and team leaders’ daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets at country level. Management of average delivery time of processes to ensure compliance with disbursement objectives. Ensure all sales activities comply with relevant regulation (e.g., BFSA, CCPC, Cybersecurity, Data Protection). Conduct regular audits of processes to mitigate risks associated with fraud or operational failures. Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the Consumer Lending landscape.
