PROJECT ARCHITECT (Part – Time) JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Architect to lead the architectural scope for one of our Projects. The successful candidate will be tasked with a critical design adaptation exercise: taking an existing reference design and updating it to suit the specific topography and client requirements of the new site. This role involves both office-based design work and periodic site supervision. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Design Adaptation: Review existing reference drawings and adapt/modify the architectural layouts to suit site conditions and specific project brief. Documentation: Produce detailed working drawings, door/window schedules, and architectural specifications using AutoCAD/Revit. Statutory Approvals: Liaise with the relevant authorities to secure necessary building plan approvals and permits prior to construction. Site Supervision: Conduct scheduled site visits to inspect architectural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, quality standards for blockwork, plastering, painting, and glazing. Coordination: Work closely with the Structural and MEP Engineers to ensure architectural intent is maintained and design clashes are resolved. Contract Administration: Review architectural material submittals and sample approvals. Closeout: Produce accurate and comprehensive As-Built architectural drawings upon project completion. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution. Must be a Registered Architect and must possess a valid practicing license. Minimum of 5 years post-graduation experience. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (ability to work with existing CAD files is essential) and/or BIM software (Revit/ArchiCAD). Proven experience in dealing with Local Authority building plan approvals. Prior experience supervising commercial or public building projects is highly desirable.
