Higher Education Authority (HEA) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Zambians for the position of Programme Accreditation Officer. Number of positions: 3 Location: Lusaka, Zambia Employment type: Full-time JOB PURPOSE Undertake the accreditation and auditing of learning programmes in Higher Education Institutions to ensure that programmes meet established standards. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES • Participate periodically in developing and implementing policies and programmes that guide learning programme accreditation. • Process accreditation documentation in a timely manner to facilitate the accreditation of learning programmes. • Facilitate periodic monitoring and evaluation of learning programmes to ensure conformity with established standards. • Research quality assurance of learning programmes to inform decisions. • Prepare the State of Higher Education Report on learning programme accreditation, lists of accredited programmes, and other reports to support decisions and inform the public. • Prepare the Unit budget in time to support acquisition of departmental resources. • Prepare an individual work plan to monitor, evaluate and improve performance. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS • Full Form V/Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent. • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology or a Social Science discipline from a recognised Higher Education Institution. Experience Nil (no prior experience requirement is listed). Required competencies Computer skills; Analytical skills; Research skills; Interpersonal skills; Tact and diplomacy; Integrity.
