Tera Fleet Management Limited seeks to employ an Operations Supervisor in the Operations Department to join our growing team. POSITION: Operations Supervisor (X1) DEPARTMENT: Operations LOCATION: Ndola JOB PURPOSE To oversee and manage day-to-day fleet operations through staff and driver supervision. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Supervise and coordinate daily transport and fleet operations. 2. Monitor truck movements, dispatches, deliveries and turnaround times. 3. Supervise drivers, driver assistants and other operational staff. 4. Ensure all trucks have valid and required documentation before dispatch. 5. Monitor driver performance, discipline, attendance and compliance with company procedures. 6. Coordinate with Fleet Managers regarding truck availability, breakdowns and maintenance. 7. Monitor fuel usage, trip expenses and driver funds. 8. Ensure proper completion and submission of trip documents, PODs, vouchers and reports. 9. Handle operational challenges and provide timely solutions. 10. Maintain effective communication with clients and other stakeholders. 11. Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety requirements and transport regulations. 12. Prepare daily, weekly and monthly operational reports. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 1. Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field. 1. At least 2–3 years of experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations. 2. Previous experience supervising drivers and operational teams. 3. Good knowledge of fleet operations and transport documentation. 4. Experience in cross-border transportation will be an added advantage OTHER REQUIREMENTS 1. Must be resident in Ndola, Kitwe or the Copperbelt. 2. Membership with Zambia Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (ZCILT) will be an added advantage. 3. Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel and Word. 4. Strong leadership and communication skills. 5. Good planning and coordination abilities. 6. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. 7. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. 8. High level of integrity, accountability and attention to detail. 9. Ability to manage and motivate a team. NOTE. All interviews shall be conducted physically at our Sakania Office in Ndola.
