To maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize mechanical systems and equipment within poultry and animal feed production facilities, ensuring continuous plant operations, maximum equipment reliability, product quality, and adherence to safety standards while supporting production efficiency and business objectives. Roles and responsibilities: 1. Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health. 2. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment. 3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults. 4. Ensure smooth operation of feed mill and poultry processing machinery. 5. Maintain safety and quality standards. 6. Support continuous improvement initiatives. 7. Will carry out any other tasks assigned to him/her by the superiors. 8. Drive the preventive maintenance schedule of the plant Qualifications and Experience At least 3 years recent and relevant experience in a similar role. Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Grade12 school certificate. Relevant industry experience will be an added advantage Knowledge, Skills and Competencies required Knowledge: Mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, engineering drawings, workshop practice, GMP Skills: Fault diagnosis, welding, machining, fitting, alignment, use of hand/power tools, preventive maintenance Competencies: Problem solving, attention to detail, safety conscious, teamwork, communication, flexibility, time management Application email: hr.vamara@parrogate.com.zmRequirements
