Job Title: Human Resource Officer Location: Kitwe, Zambia Department: Human Resources Employment Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking a dynamic, proactive and results-oriented Human Resource Officer (HRO) to join our team in Kitwe. The successful candidate will support the implementation of HR policies and procedures while delivering efficient and effective human resource services across the organization. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment and selection process. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with labour legislation and company policies. Prepare employment contracts, confirmation letters, transfers and other HR documentation. Support payroll administration by ensuring timely submission of employee data and changes. Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation and off boarding processes. Assist in performance management, employee engagement, and training initiatives. Handle employee relations matters and provide guidance on HR policies and procedures. Prepare periodic HR reports and maintain HR databases. Ensure compliance with statutory and internal HR requirements. Perform any other HR-related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Full Grade 12 Certificate Minimum Diploma in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or a related field. Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM). Minimum of 3 years’ relevant HR experience in a similar role. Sound knowledge of the Zambian Employment Code Act and other applicable labour laws. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. High level of integrity and confidentiality. Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work to work with minimum supervison Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
