POSITION SUMMARY The Engineer Intern will support the Technical/Engineering Department in site supervision, project documentation, and engineering design activities to ensure quality and timely execution of company projects. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES – Assist engineers in site supervision and monitoring of ongoing works – Take site measurements, levels, and prepare daily site reports/diaries – Assist with preparation of BOQs, material schedules, and progress reports – Conduct basic materials testing and quality control under supervision – Support drafting and interpretation of engineering drawings using AutoCAD – Assist in data collection, surveys, and as-built documentation – Ensure compliance with site safety regulations and use of PPE – Perform any other duties as assigned by the Project Engineer/Manager MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS – Must be a Zambian Citizen – recently graduated with Degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field from a recognized institution – Minimum of Credit or 60% average – Computer literate: AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, MS Project – Must possess a valid Driver’s License – Student Membership with EIZ will be an added advantage – Knowledge of construction materials, site practices, and safety standards – Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills – Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines – Willing to work and reside on project sites as required
