About the Bus Driver Shift Workers Role The primary purpose of this full-time position is to ensure the safe, timely, and professional transportation of staff using company shuttle buses. Candidates will be responsible for maintaining vehicle cleanliness, conducting daily safety and maintenance checks, submitting accurate trip reports, and adhering strictly to company policies and road safety regulations. Key Responsibilities for Bus Driver Shift Workers Jobs in Lusaka Operate assigned staff shuttle buses safely and follow approved routes and schedules. Transport passengers with professionalism, punctuality, and utmost safety. Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after trips, checking oil, water, tyres, brakes, lights, fuel, mileage, cleanliness, and overall condition. Complete and submit daily trip sheets, route reports, mileage logs, and incident documentation accurately. Report any accidents, breakdowns, delays, mechanical faults, or passenger incidents immediately. Maintain the assigned bus in a clean, safe, and professional state at all times. Adhere to company policies regarding fuel usage, route discipline, vehicle handling, and passenger conduct. Ensure respectful treatment of passengers and uphold the company’s positive image consistently. Comply fully with all road traffic laws, PSV licensing requirements, safety standards, and company procedures. Work shifts and schedules as assigned, including occasional assignments outside Lusaka when required. Avoid reckless driving, unauthorized trips, fuel misuse, and any behavior that could jeopardize safety or company property. Minimum Qualifications and Experience At least 3 years’ experience driving buses, staff shuttles, or passenger service vehicles. Grade 12 certificate and a valid Class C or higher driver’s license. Valid PSV license is mandatory. Experience with passenger-carrying vehicles is essential. Defensive driving or corporate shuttle experience is an advantage. Must reside in Lusaka and be available for assignments outside town as needed. Ability to complete daily vehicle checklists, trip sheets, and basic reports accurately. Traceable references from previous employers are required. Personal Attributes Required Highly punctual and reliable. Sober, disciplined, and safety-conscious. Respectful towards passengers, colleagues, and supervisors. Patient, professional, and honest in all reporting and conduct. Capable of following instructions and adhering to strict company procedures.
